The Look of Love – Casino Royale, 1967
Ursula Andress, known for her breakthrough role as the first Bond Girl (Honey Ryder) in Dr. No, plays Vesper Lynd here in the unofficial parody Casino Royale released in 1967. Here, she seduces Evelyn Tremble (Peter Sellers) into challenging Le Chiffre in a grand poker game as a part of a plan devised by James Bond. This scene is my favorite of the movie. Ursula has so much appeal, she’s so seductive and enchanting. I love the pink robe and the elevator couch bed. I love the tone of her voice and how innocently smitten he is by her. The best of it all though is the theme song, The Look of Love, sung beautifully by Dusty Springfield.
